CFD of Fully Developed Channel Flow

Turbulent flow, characterized by random and chaotic fluid motion, is a common occurrence in many engineering applications, such as aerospace, wind turbines, hydroelectric power plants, chemical mixing processes. In these applications others, the turbulent flows often involve complex geometries, multiple scales of nonlinear interactions, which make it challenging to simulate predict flow behaviour accurately. As result, turbulence modelling plays crucial role providing an efficient cost-effective way model physics flows. Several models have been developed are commonly used computational dynamics (CFD) simulations this work, Navier-Stokes equations transport kinetic energy dissipation solved using finite difference approximation. In-house MATLAB code work solve two-dimensional, incompressible, fully channel for Reynolds number ranged from 6000 12000.
